History will be made in Bari, as Italy and Canada reach the Hopman Cup Final for the first time ever. The final will take place this Sunday, July 20 at 17:30 at the Fiera del Levante in Bari – Puglia. 

The dream is real: Team Italy will play the Hopman Cup final on home soil at the Fiera del Levante in Bari – Puglia, in what promises to be a thrilling and emotional showdown. 

Sunshine and surprises on day 4 of the tournament, as Canada defeated Greece to claim the last spot in the final. Bianca Andreescu opened the tie with a commanding 6-1, 6-2 win over Despina Papamichail. In the most anticipated match of the day, Felix Auger-Aliassime overcame Stefanos Tsitsipas 7-6, 6-3, silencing a crowd that had been loudly supporting the Greek star – a longtime favorite in Puglia since his early tennis days in Salento. 

In the mixed doubles played to one set, Canada sealed the deal with 6-4, and Greece entertained the fans.  

But now, all eyes turn to Sunday’s final: Italy vs. Canada. 

It’s a historic moment. Both Canada and Italy reach the Hopman Cup final for the first time ever. Italy, cheered on by a passionate home crowd, will look to crown a spectacular week with the title. The host nation has defeated both defending champions Croatia and powerhouse France to earn its place in the final. 

Italy’s rising stars, Flavio Cobolli and Lucia Bronzetti, have captured hearts with their energy, chemistry, and grit on court. Cobolli holds a slight edge over Auger-Aliassime in both the rankings (No. 19 vs. No. 28) and head-to-head record – having won both of their matches in 2024, in Acapulco and Montreal. Sunday will also mark the first-ever meeting between Andreescu and Bronzetti, adding more intrigue to the tie.
