On another day of the tournament, Spain met Croatia. As on every other day, the public was able to enjoy a large Fan Zone, live concerts, food-trucks and Hopman Cup souvenirs sold in the official store… or even a mini-tennis court.
The day kicked off with the women’s singles, won by Donna Vekic 6-2 6-1. Carlos Alcaraz and Borna Coric then took to center court, and after an intense match, the world No.1 won 3-6 7-6 5-10. All eyes were then on the long-awaited mixed doubles. In the end, it was Croatia who won the match with a final score of 1-6 6-4 14-12. Tomorrow, Sunday July 23, the Swiss team (Leandro Riedi & Céline Naef) will face the Croatian team (Donna Vekic & Borna Coric) in the final on center court, starting at 4pm!
