Unfortunately, Spanish player Paula Badosa has had to cancel her participation in the Hopman Cup 2023. Tennis champion Rebeka Masarova – world No. 66 – is taking her place, and in a few days’ time will form a formidable pairing. Alongside world No. 1 Carlos Alessandro, on the clay courts of the Nice Lawn Tennis Club (LTC), this Spanish team is preparing to offer its fans a great tennis performance.
Rebeka Masarova
Rebeka Masarova is a Spanish tennis player born in Switzerland on 6 August 1999 to a Slovak father and Spanish mother. Raised between Barcelona and Basel, she was one of the best junior players, reaching world number two in June 2016. She won her most prestigious title, in the Junior category, at Roland Garros, in 2016. The following year, in 2017, she reached the final of the junior Australian Open. In total, she has won 6 ITF singles titles and 7 ITF doubles titles. She is currently currently No. 66 in the WTA rankings.
