HOPMAN CUP MEMBERSHIP CLOSURE

­Tennis Australia’s Hopman Cup Membership program is officially closed. Renewals and new Members will not be accepted.

When your Membership expires you will no longer be entitled to Hopman Cup Member Benefits that apply to your Membership category, those whose membership expires on or after 1 December 2017 will continue to be entitled to any Hopman Cup 2018 Member Benefits that apply to their particular Membership category.

Please read our Frequently Asked Questions below to find out what this means for you if your Hopman Cup Membership has expired or if you are a current Hopman Cup Member. 

 

  1. Why is the Hopman Cup Membership program closing?
    With the incredible growth of the Hopman Cup and the size of our membership group, we have identified a need for change. We have listened to feedback from our members and understand that everyone is different. Some Hopman Cup Members value certain membership benefits more than others. We believe that the fixed structure of the Hopman Cup Membership model doesn’t suit everyone. We have therefore made the decision to end the Hopman Cup Membership Program.

 

  1. What does this mean for Hopman Cup Members?
  • Expired Members:

If your Hopman Cup Membership has expired, you cannot renew it. We would like to sincerely thank you for your support of the membership program and trust that you have enjoyed the Hopman Cup member benefits that you have received.

  • Current Members:

If you are currently an active Hopman Cup Member and your membership is yet to expire, we will continue to honour all of the member benefits that you are entitled to, in accordance with the Hopman Cup Membership Terms and Conditions, until your membership expires. Those whose membership expires on or after 1 December 2017 will continue to be entitled to any Hopman Cup 2018 Member Benefits that apply to their particular Membership category. You will not be able to renew your Hopman Cup Membership once it expires. If your Hopman Cup Membership expires after 1 December 2017 but prior to the commencement of Hopman Cup 2018 (30 December 2017) you are still eligible to receive member benefits for Hopman Cup 2018.

 

  1. How does the expiry date of my membership affect my Hopman Cup benefits?

If you are still a current Hopman Cup Member, please take note of when your membership will expire. As has always been the case with your Hopman Cup Membership, the expiry date of your membership determines the member benefits that you are entitled to at any given point in time. In order to access certain member benefits, such as pre-sale access and event benefits, your membership must be active when the particular member benefit is offered unless your membership expires post 1 December 2017.

 

For example in connection with the Hopman Cup 2018, subject to the Hopman Cup Membership Terms and Conditions and your relevant membership category:

  • If your Hopman Cup Membership expires prior to 22 August 2017, you will not have access to the Hopman Cup 2018 ticket pre-sale.
  • If your Hopman Cup Membership will still be active on or after 22 August 2017, you will have access to the Hopman Cup 2018 pre-sale. Dates for pre-sale access will be advised via email and on the Hopman Cup website closer to the Hopman Cup 2018.
  • If your Hopman Cup Membership expires prior to 1 December 2017 you will not receive any member benefits associated with the tournament.
  • If your Hopman Cup Membership expires after 1 December 2017 but prior to 30 December 2017 you are still eligible to receive member benefits for Hopman Cup 2018.

 

  1. I’m a current Hopman Cup Member:
  • Will I still receive my membership card, lanyard and pouch?

If your membership expires prior to 1 December 2017 you will not receive a membership card, lanyard or pouch. If your membership expires on or after 1 December 2017 you will still receive a 2018 Hopman Cup Membership card, lanyard and pouch.

 

  • Will I still receive access to the Hopman Cup ticket pre-sale?

Depending on the expiry date and your Hopman Cup Membership Category, we will continue to honour the member benefits that you are entitled to, including in relation to the pre-sale of tickets to the next Hopman Cup.

 

If your Hopman Cup Membership is still active on or after 22 August 2017, you will continue to have access to purchase a prescribed number of tickets to Hopman Cup during the designated pre-sale period set by Tennis Australia for your relevant membership category, in accordance with the Hopman Cup Membership Terms and Conditions.

 

Available seats during this pre-sale booking period will be the best available after tickets to contracted stakeholders (such as partners and suppliers), corporate hospitality clients and tour operators have been allocated.

 

Eligible active Hopman Cup Members will receive an email with information on when and how to purchase tickets during the pre-sale access period later in the year. Hopman Cup Members will be able to purchase their tickets over the phone or online through Ticketek.

 

  • Will I still receive pre-sale access to Australian Open and Australian Open Series events?

Depending on the expiry date and your Hopman Cup Membership Category, we will continue to honour the member benefits that you are entitled to, including in relation to the pre-sale of tickets to the next Australian Open and Australian Open Series Events.

 

If your Hopman Cup Membership is still active at the commencement of the relevant Australian Open and Australian Open Series Events pre-sale period, you will continue to have access to purchase a prescribed number of tickets during the designated pre-sale period set by Tennis Australia for your relevant membership category, in accordance with the Hopman Cup Membership Terms and Conditions.

  • Will I still receive pre-sale access to Davis Cup and Fed Cup home ties?

Depending on the expiry date and your Hopman Cup Membership Category, we will continue to honour the member benefits that you are entitled to, including in relation to the pre-sale of tickets to the next Davis Cup and Fed Cup home ties.

 

If your Hopman Cup Membership is still active at the commencement of the relevant Davis Cup and Fed Cup home ties pre-sale period, you will continue to have access to purchase a prescribed number of tickets during the designated pre-sale period set by Tennis Australia for your relevant membership category, in accordance with the Hopman Cup Membership Terms and Conditions.

 

  • Will I still receive complimentary tickets to the first day session of Hopman Cup 2018?

Depending on the expiry date and your membership category, a prescribed number of complimentary general admission tickets to the first day session of Hopman Cup 2018 will be issued to active members at the relevant time in accordance with the Hopman Cup Membership Terms and Conditions.

 

If your Hopman Cup Membership expires prior to 1 December 2017 you will not receive complimentary general admission tickets to the first day session of Hopman Cup 2018.

 

If your Hopman Cup Membership expires after 1 December 2017 you will continue to receive a prescribed number of complimentary general admission tickets to the first day session of Hopman Cup 2018.

 

  • Will there still be a priority access lane to Perth Arena?

Hopman Cup Members whose membership expires after 1 December 2017 will continue to be able to access a priority member access lane into Perth Arena.

 

  • Will I still get a 10% Merchandise discount on Hopman Cup products?

Hopman Cup Members whose membership expires after 1 December 2017 will continue to be able to receive a 10% merchandise discount on Hopman Cup products when purchased onsite only.

 

  1. Can I get a refund on my existing membership?

Hopman Cup Membership fees are non-refundable as set out in the Hopman Cup Membership Terms and Conditions. If you are an existing Hopman Cup Member, the member benefits that apply to your membership category will be honoured until your membership expires.

 

  1. How do I log into my Hopman Cup Membership account?

Active Hopman Cup Members can continue to access their membership account in the same way. The Hopman Cup Member log-in is accessible via the Hopman Cup website.
