Set for a third consecutive appearance in Perth, Watson is hoping it will be third-time lucky as she aims to win Great Britain’s first Hopman Cup title. Watson prefers hard courts and boasts wins over Daria Gavrilova, Sabine Lisicki and Casey Dellacqua in Perth.
The 24-year-old won her third career WTA title in Monterrey during 2016, but her biggest highlight came at Wimbledon when she teamed up with Finland’s Henri Kontinen to scoop the mixed doubles title. She was the first British woman to win the title in 29 years.

A stellar 2016 season has earnt Evans a place on the Great Britain team at Hopman Cup, making him just the third man behind Jeremy Bates and Andy Murray to represent the country in the competition.
The 26-year-old broke into the world’s top 100 for the first time in April 2016, and was verging on the world’s top 50 in September after making third round runs at Wimbledon and the US Open. In New York, Evans held match point against eventual champion Stan Wawrinka in the third round.
