Well that’s what the Hopman Cup is all about folks. Mixed doubles and what an exciting one It was -a round of applause for the unfortunate ones here.
Sabine a tough mixed doubles but as far as your singles are concerned, two outings and two wins, you’ve got to be pretty happy.

(Lisicki) Yes of course. The first couple of matches of the year are always tough so I’m glad that I won both of them. Unfortunately we lost the mixed but I think today was really good mixed doubles.

It was a fabulous mixed doubles. Singles, you were down in the opening set, Laura served for the first set and then you sort of broke back and then went on the second.

(Lisicki) I lost my serve at first so I was a little bit unlucky. I kept fighting and I think pulled it off pretty well and I was there at the important points.

Well a terrific effort and well done. Philipp a tough one against the no. 4 player in the world, Andy Murray, he seems to be on song.

(Kohlschreiber) Yeah I think he is getting pretty hot for the Aussie open so yeah he kicked my arse today pretty bad. It was good, he played fantastic and I couldn’t hold the level for him.

Well you’ve played a couple of very good single matches, just not quite there. Do you have anything special your going to work on before the Australia Open because you have that all court game and it seems to be working pretty well?

(Kohlschreiber) Yeah at the moment I’m not quite happy with my game. I’m really looking forward for the right balls and the right shots and my form is not working at the moment but I need to work a little bit harder over the next coming days. Hopefully I am also in good form for the Aussie Open.

Well good luck as we go on through the week and a fabulous mixed doubles and we look forward to watching you later on during the week.

And now folks you’ve got to be happy with this one, I know this young lady here is going to be happy. I know mum is happy, she’s clapping already.
Laura, come in Andy - an unbelievable effort today, you must be very proud. First of all the way you played in the singles.

(Robson) I thought I played much better today than on Monday and the singles but I still lost so there’s a lot of stuff to work on in the future.

You’re only fifteen years of age and this is your first time. You can’t come out here and beat everybody at fifteen can you?

(Robson) Well it’s not an excuse. I had some chances in the first set especially serving for it but she just played better in the end.

Do you put that down to a little bit of experience? Junior Wimbledon champion and now your going to get out on to the WTA tour and matches like this week have only got to help you?

(Robson) Yeah it’s been a really good week so for and then I’m happy I get to play with Dementieva, she’ll be the hardest player I’ve ever played. It’s a good experience.

Well he’s probably the highest ever ranked player you’ve played with mixed doubles. Is your shoulder a bit tight today, did you carry him today?

(Robson) I think I did today. I definitely did. My backs a bit sore.

Well Andy might have something to say about that. You know you said you got sunburnt yesterday, your shoulders are sore, you’re carrying Laura...

(Murray) No I thought she played great today. A lot better than the first day so that was good.

How about yourself though? Your form is pretty good and you may want to go on the tour playing mixed now because you seemed to have settled in and did well.

(Murray) Yeah it was good fun.
(Murray) She just said she’s just a really good partner.

Well we’re looking into something like that.

(Murray) I asked her if she wanted to play the Olympics in 2012 yesterday and she said no. SO it will be the last time I ask her to play mixed. It was good fun, I enjoyed it.

As part of your own form is concerned, you came here and your on song with the serve and everything seems to be going well.

(Murray) Yeah it was a good start and played well today. Philipp is a really, really tough player. He’s played a lot of good matches against a lot of the top players. That was the first time I’ve played against him so I was happy to win comfortably and hopefully I can get better before the Australian Open.

And how about the support you’re getting from the Brits here? It’s got to be pretty helpful for you. You could possibly win one of these diamond encrusted tennis balls.

(Murray) Yeah they are pretty cool, the tennis balls. But it’s been a great atmosphere with all of the matches here. It’s been excellent. We’re going to need it though playing against Russia. I think they’re tops or maybe second seeds so I’m not expecting to beat them but if we play well we’ve got a chance.

Well you weren’t expected to win today either so I’ll let you know that, but you did do that so congratulations and well done and good luck with the rest of the week.
