Well ladies and gentlemen, Andy Murray has levelled the tie for Great Britain. It was pretty impressive style, I think you’d agree. Andy just an hour on court, is that long enough for you?
The mixed the other day took an hour and forty five, so I was happy to get it done quickly and hopefully we can play quick in the mixed as well.
Now from your perspective, what in that match what went right?
I served really well, didn’t really give him too many chances on my serve. I think that was the main difference. He didn’t make too many first serves and I was able to capitalise when it was on his second. I guess I served well.
Now you’ve been working really hard on your fitness in Miami we understand. The conditions here are pretty warm as well. How do you feel your condition is holding up?
My back is on fire. I practiced yesterday with my shirt off and I got so, so burnt. That just doesn’t happen to me in Miami so the sun is a little stronger over here. Its good though, perfect preparation for Melbourne and its nice and warm in here.
Well at two moments we were a little bit concerned, you looked a little bit stiff. Was that the back sunburn or something else?
It was the sunburn.

Yeah I played pretty well up at the net, that’s something I worked on a lot.

Now Laura has got a lot of extended family here so you’ve got some good support. Have you got anyone in the crowd?
Yes, there are a lot of British flags and Scottish flags out there so I’ve got good support. Laura has got about ninety people here with her, I think. Most of her family is here so hopefully we can get a win for them.
Have you talked a bit more about the mixed because you got a result but seemed to think you were carrying her a bit?
She played well when she needed to. The other day she played really well at the end of the match which is good. Hopefully we can play well again today. If we can do that we have a good chance.
