The Hyundai Hopman Cup is widely regarded as the most prestigious invitation tennis tournament in the world. It has the imprimatur of the International Tennis Federation (ITF), the governing body of the sport, which provides the ongoing stability of the event.
A men’s and a women’s representative are invited to represent their country. Eight countries are invited to play the round robin of two groups of four, with the winning team in each group plays off in the Final.
